Matthew

Hello,
I am having an issue when I try to open a switchboard. The error reads as
followed:

Compile Error:
Error in loading DLL

I am using Access 2003 with a database in Access 2000 format. Should I
reinstall Access or what? Any help that you could provide would be
appreciated.

Thanks,
Matthew

Open any module in Design view (or click Ctrl + G).
On the Tools menu, click References.
Click to clear the check box for the type library or object library
marked as "Missing:."

An alternative to removing the reference is to restore the referenced
file to the path specified in the References dialog box. If the
referenced file is in a new location, clear the "Missing:" reference
and create a new reference to the file in its new folder.

See Microsoft KnowledgeBase articles:
283115 'ACC2002: References That You Must Set When You Work with
Microsoft Access'
Or for Access 97:
175484 'References to Set When Working With Microsoft Access' for
the correct ones needed,
and
160870 'VBA Functions Break in Database with Missing References' for
how to reset a missing one.

For even more information, see

I followed your instructions and I opened the references list. There were
not any references on the list that were marked as missing.

Hi Matthew,

Another possibility is that you need to re-register one or more files:
Msado15.dll and DAO360.dll. Click on Start > Run. Then enter the commands:

Regsvr32.exe "C:\Program Files\Common Files\system\ado\Msado15.dll"
Regsvr32.exe "C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\DAO\Dao360.dll"

You might want to first verify that the paths are correct on your computer.
Make sure to include the quotes around any paths that include spaces.
