Error will not upload

When I tried to upload defender I get an error message in a blue box simlar
to this or may be the same one

My Computer will not start up after this no matter safe noramal or any mode.
I have to reformat my hard drive for it to work. Why don't you offer the
old beta, because this my computer will not take service pack 2. At best
make it download like the old beta, because that was a really good antispy.

I'm lost about what is happening on your system.

The error message seems to relate to definition updates, implying that you
have Windows Defender installed (was it to drive M?)

However, you then go on to say that your machine won't take Service Pack 2?
Why not?

If you have indeed reformatted and started over, what happens when you get
to Service Pack 2?
