error while trying to install a program from D:

running windows xp home edition. When trying to install a
program FROM D: to C: I get a message saying not enough
space / sorry, there's not enough disk space free on
D:.... I'm trying to install FROM D: to C:!!!!! What is
going on???
 
Check that your temp folder is not full. There are at least two locations where
they are located,
1) Windows\temp
2) Documents and settings\user profile\local settings\temp
Empty both folders and try the install again.
