Error while running setup file "Not a valid win32 application"

Hi

I was trying to run a setup.exe file nd got the error
shouting "<File_name> not a valid win 32 application"

Again I downloaded the software. But no use. Got the same
error. Could you guys pls help me how to get rid of this
error.

Rename the downloaded file so that its filename extension
matches the filename extension on the Web or FTP page from
which it was downloaded.
