Error when using subform

Hi,

I have an error when using a subform.

I have a combo box in the main form. When the user choose the value in the
combo box, the subform will populate the data that linked to that value.
(says. the combo box is invoice ID. Then after choosing the ID, the subform
will display all the items that have the same invoice ID.

Now when I click in the cells in the subform, Access pop up the message read
"The record cannot be deleted or changed because table 'Sales' includes
related records. (table 'Sales' is where I hold invoice-item list.

Why Access shows this error? I want to be able to change or delete in the
subform. How can I solve this problem?

Thank you,
Boon

Hi Boon,
this can be due to the way the tables are set up.
To have a look at one way to set up tables for sales, have a look at the
Northwind sample database.
You can get Northwind by clicking Help | Sample databases on the main access
menu.

Thanks for your answer.

I am now able to solve this problem now but I still don't know how!? I just
created a new database, create new tables and making new forms. It works
fine now. I compared the property setting of the two databases and they look
the same.
