Error when trying to run MSMoney

Hi
now i know that the program i am trying to run is not made to run in Windows
XP however it has been running fine for the past year or so.
When i try and open MS Money version 3.0 i recive this error message:
"C:\windows\system32\autoexec.nt. this system file is not suitable for
running MS-DOS and microsoft windows aplications. Choose Close to terminate
the application."

now if i had recived this meeage the first time i tried to run this program
in Xp i would have accpeted that it wont work and given up, however it worked
fine for a long time and i have a lot of information stored in this program
so would be great if i could get it running again. any ideas?
