Ben

I'm in need of help with a problem I'm having with Outlook 2003. I hope
someone here can shed some light on my issue.

I am running WindowsXP (Home). Outlook 2003 has Norton Antispam (from
package - Norton Internet Security 2004) and everytime I start up Outlook
for about two weeks now I get this message...
"The document 'PDFMaker.dot' caused a serious error the last time it was
opened. Would you like to continue opening it?". The title of that error
window is Microsoft Office Word.

I click on 'no' then I get this message...
"Word cannot open this document template. (C:\Program
Files\...\PDFMaker.dot)"

I now click on 'OK' and it disappears until the next time I start Outlook.
Then I have to go through the whole thing again.

I apologise if I've missed out any information. Please help if you know how
to get rid of this problem, its driving me crazy.

Thanks in advance
Ben

The message has to do with Adobe Acrobat. You should probably disable the
plugins it is trying to put into Outlook (tools | options | other) ? ....or
perhaps disable them in Word, which it sounds like you're using for your
e-mail editor.

Adobe 6 has a ton of problems, if you ask me.

Most of which they fixed in version 7 which you will need to purchase -
sounds like a familiar path, eh?

Thanks for the reply. You mentioned to disable it in Outlook or/and Word.
How do I do this? I had a look in Outlook - Tools - Options - Others and
cannot see what I have to disable.

Thanks again!

I think you disable it either in Acrobat or in Word. Perhaps you can just
delete the Word template.
