error when starting IE

Recently developed a problem that I can't start up IE on
Windows 2000 computer (obviously not this one). Computer
will still run AIM and Kazaa browser, but not IE. Thus, I
can't download a new version.
A small window displays the message "Internet Explorer has
generated errors and will be closed by Windows. You will
need to restart the program. An error log is being
created." Then a button give you the choice of "OK"

You likely have a Browser Helper Object (BHO) installed. Get BHODemon. http://www.google.com Any questions about what to remove tells us here what it tells you.
