Error when sending message

I get this error message when trying to send a message in Outlook 2003. I
use Comcast as my ISP and had no problems until just recently. I know the
email address is good as it is my other email address that I use daily.

Task 'mail.comcast.net - Sending' reported error (0x800CCC78) : 'Unable to
send the message. Please verify the e-mail address in your account
properties. The server responded: 550 5.1.0 Authentication required'

I ran "Test Account Settings..." in the Outlook dialog for email accounts
and it passed every test but the send message test. I also had just removed
several unsent read receipts.

Any ideas?

Thanks,
TJD

So, configure your account to authenticate properly to the outgoing server.
Check the "My outgoing server requires authentication" box in your account
properties.

That worked, thanks.
