Error When I Try Opening Documents

L

Laura

Often times when I attempt to open a file from explorer, I get an error telling me it cannot be found and to make sure I typed the location and name correctly. Why is this happening?

If I click on the file again, it will open just fine and occasionally it takes 3-4 times before it'll open. It appears to affect all files (.doc, ..docx, .xls, .ppt, etc.)

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Hi Laura,

Open Windows Explorer, click on "computer" in the left folder tree. Right
click the C: drive and choose properties. On the tools tab, run the error
checking tool.

I have McAfee. At least through June and then I'm going to upgrade to
something different.
