error when copying outlook data "can not copy: the path too deep"

I am trying to copy my outlook data to copy to an external hard drive and
load on my new computer. I have NOT changed the path location or names for
my outlook data. But when I try to save a copy of my outlook data, I get an
error message "can not copy outlook: the path is too deep"

Please help!
