Error when copying files to A drive from windows explorer

WHEn I try to copy doc and xls files to A drive
The target cannot handle this type of document

the files copy OK, but what is with the error message?

SYMPTOMS
If you right-click a file in a common dialog box (such as the Open or Save
As dialog box), point to Send To, and then click My Documents or a
removable-media drive (such as a floppy disk drive or a Zip drive), you may
receive the following error message:

Windows Explorer
The Target can not handle this type of document.
Although you receive the error message, the file is saved on the removable
media.
RESOLUTION
When you receive the error message, click OK. The file is saved to your My
Documents folder or to the removable media.
STATUS
Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products
that are listed at the beginning of this article.
