Error: STOP 0x000000ed UNMOUTABLE_BOOT_VOLUME

Hi,
My cousin has encountered the following error,
stop 0x000000ed unmountable_boot_volume. It said to
disable caching or shadowing in BIOS, but there's no option
to disable it. We have restarted the PC several times with
no luck. We cant get into Winodws XP. We tried safe mode
and latest good configuration and no luck. What can I do?

sounds like you ned to format and reinstall XP or use the
restore option. Each Manufacaturer has a restore ( like HP
pavillion is F10)

Thanks for responding.
Coincidently, my cousin has an HP pavilion 752N system.
Now, will the F10 keyl perform the same task as using
Recovery Console from winXP CD? let me know
