what's wrong?

.
I GET A STOP ERROR MESSAGE THAT SAYS "IRQ LESS THAN OR EQUAL "
sometimes also shows some other message like "paging memory
in non paged area or something..
dump file memory or something

I'm recieving this error message also, it is very popular since adding
another gig of memory to my system with the addition of the sp2 hotfix files.
I don't know if it is a problem caused with the addition of the memory or
the sp2 files. yes, i could use some help with this..... plead.......other
blue screens tell me that a device driver ( sometimes pointing to my video
card, even though i have the latest drivers loaded) is cause. here are the
most popular titles: thread_stuck_in_device_driver,
page_fault_in_nonpaged_area

This sort of message, starting with 'stop: 0x0000008E......' often signifies
a memory error. Try taking the extra new memory out and see if it
continues. If this cures the problem, then it is the new RAM.

Also, check that the RAM configuration is compatible with WinXP. It is
unlikely but have you gone over the 4GB maximum?

Try putting 'stop: 0x0000008E' in as a search on the Microsoft Web site.
You will get plenty of support pages with similar problems in hardware
configuration.
