Hello,

I was adding a contact to my outlook. I was unable to do
so and received a message that "errors have been detected
in the file c:\documents and settings...outlook.pst." I
ran the scanpst and received a message that it ran
successfully (including, I think, the repair link). I
have then attempted to access outlook--contacts, calendar,
etc. with no success. Is this unprecedented? I would
greatly appreciate any assistance or suggestions. Thank
you, in advance.

Hello, again.

I am getting desperate! Outlook continues to generate the
error: Unable to display the folder. Errors have been
detected in the file C:\Documents and Settings\
Administrator\Local Settings\Application
Data\Microsoft\Outlook\outlook.pst. Quit all mail-enabled
applications, and then use the Inbox Repair Tool.

I have run this tool to no avail. I have, using the MS
OFFICE CD-ROM, uninstalled and reinstalled Outlook and the
entire Office Suite, again, to no avail. Is there any
suggestions?? I would greatly appreciate any and all
help. Thank you.

Sincerely,

Francis Chen

WHen you run the tool, do you get a success report? How big is your .pst
file?

Hello.

Thanks for the reply. I do get a success report. Well, I
embellish: the first time I ran it, the tool did
a "repair" but then it has and subsequent (kinda like
banging your head against the wall, you know it doesn't
help but you do it anyways...) running of the tool
reports "success". The .pst file is 66 MB -- not big
enough to run the 2gig fixer. What do you think?
