Error-Server response ERR unable to unlink all deleted messages??

I keep getting a error on my Outlook Express -
The server responded with an error. Account "mail.speednet.com" server
"mail.speednet.com - Protocol POP3 - Server response ERR unable to unlink all
deleted messages. Port 110, Secure (SSL) No. Server Error 0x800CCC90, error
number 0x800CCC90.
I have 5 messages that I deleted (unopened) They keep coming back with the
above message after I attempt to delete them. As a matter of fact, I keep
getting repeated copies of each message also. What is wrong??

Try posting this in an Outlook Express news group - this is not one of them.
Outlook is a part of Microsoft Office and is what this group supports.

After furious head scratching, Outlook express question asked:
