Error Message - Outlook 6

I can't get any messages in or out on Outlook due to a passoword error
message, as follows: There was a problem logging onto your mail server. Your
Password was rejected. Account: 'pop.west.cox.net', Server:
'pop.west.cox.net', Protocol: POP3, Server Response: '-ERR invalid user name
or password.', Port: 110, Secure(SSL): No, Server Error: 0x800CCC90, Error
Number: 0x800CCC92.
Any suggestions would be appreciatedl

I think you're using Outlook Express not Outlook.... but that having been
said, it looks like you've got the wrong password entered for your email
account.

First suggestion:

Look carefully at which email application you are using; there is no
"Outlook 6". There is MS Outlook {year}, of which Outlook 2007 is the latest
released version. This application is a component of MS Office, and
completely different from MS Outlook Express.

There is MS Outlook Express, of which "6" is the latest version. This is a
component of MS Internet Explorer, through version 6 of MSIE (it was dropped
with the release of MSIE 7), and is totally unrelated to MS Outlook, of any
version.

Second suggestion:

Triple check your UserID and password. If you still find no discrepancy,
contact Cox support. Don't let them deflect you with an "It's a Microsoft
problem"; it is not. The server doesn't like what your application is
sending, and complaining about it. Your application is sending exactly what
you tell it to send. If you got it right, the Cox server is what is FUBAR.

really meant, "Outlook Express 6", instead of "Outlook 6".
