error sending email

I get:

2046 The command or action 'send object' isn't available.

*You may be in a read only database for an earlier version of ACCESSDATABASE
*The type of object the action applies to isn't currently selected or isn't
in active view

Use with the commands and macro actions currently available for this
database

I don't know why but this appears after copying the database from one
computer to another. Both laptops consist of:
MS Windows 98
MS Access 97
MS Office 2000 including Outlook
MS Outlook Express as the default email client.

Tried using MS Outlook 2000 as the default mail client but same error.

Have you checked to see if the Read Only flag is in fact set because of the
copy operation?

Right click on file and go to properties.

Don't know how to do this. If running the database on one computer where all
tables can be edited and on another computer where all tables can be edited
would there still be something set to Read Only when only one out of 15 odd
computers is generating this error?
