error report, IE crashes

Hello,
Was handed an xp home laptop, patches and anti-virus up to date. Was told
nothing was installed. When loading IE, it loads ebay and immediately gives
the pop up of an error report is generaded. the details reference the
mshtml.dll file. when hitting send or don't send, IE closes immediately. Any
known issues? please help.

Click on Start->Control Panel->Internet Options->Advanced Tab->UNCHECK "Third
Party Browser Extension" , click on Apply, ok and restart the computer.
