error question

I have created a database the tracks our metrics for the warehouse I work in.
It has worked for 2 months now. Now that I am starting to put in Oct data
specificaly data for 10/3/06 it errors out on me. 10/2/06 went in just fine.
When I put 10/3/06 in I get an error that says "This expression is typed
incorrecty, or it is too complex to be evaluated. For example a numeric
expression may contain too many elements. Try simplifying expression by
assigning parts of he expression to variables."
The it errors and says " Object invalid or no longer set."

I know this probably isn't enough info for anyone to help me. But I am at a
loss as to where I should start looking.
If this database becomes junk then I will have lost 3 months of work. I have
it backed up on 10/2/06 thank goodness. But if i go any farther on dates it
will be screwed up.

Any suggestions?
