can not send email. i tried all the steps in trouble shoot mail. tried all
steps in comcast's help. still get Error # Ox800CCC79. i have Trend Micro
Internet Security, which Dell installed @ factory

Switching from Trend Micro to McAfee antivirus is like jumping from
the frying pan into the fire, as far as Windows Mail is concerned.
Uninstall McAfee antivirus, followed by using their debris removal tool:
http://service.mcafee.com/FAQDocument.aspx?id=107083&lc=1033

Test Windows Mail again. If you still get an error message, right-click
on the error message, copy, then paste it into a reply here.
We can't do much troubleshooting without that complete error message.

If you decide to replace McAfee, we can recommend a free antivirus
program which is more compatible with Windows Mail:

Instead of switching to a different antivirus, another option is to upgrade
to Windows Live Mail (WLM), which is more resistant to the adverse effects
of overly intrusive antivirus products: http://get.live.com/wlmail/overview

Even with WLM, you must disable email scanning in the antivirus,
for the reason explained here:
http://thundercloud.net/infoave/tutorials/email-scanning/index.htm

here's the message which i am typing because i could not c&p it here,Why?...
The message could not be sent. The authentication setting might not be correct
for your outgoing email[SMTP] server.... then there's a small paragraph
telling me to trouble shoot & then.... The rejected email adrdress was
..... subject...
Account:'mail.comcast.net',Server:'smtp.comcast.net',Protocol:SMTP,server
response:'550 5.1.1<email address>recipient invalid
domain',Port587,secure(SSL):server error # 0x800CCC79

The error message indicates there is something incorrect about
the recipient's email address. If this problem continues, right-click
on the error message, which should then offer 'Copy', then paste
it into a reply here. For privacy, X out the username part of any
email address in that error message. We can't do much
troubleshooting without the complete and verbatim error message.

My preferred antivirus is CA Anti-Virus, but of the free ones, the
following two are quite acceptable:

AVG free edition:
http://free.grisoft.com/doc/5390/us/frt/0?prd=aff
or
Avast free edition:
http://www.avast.com/eng/download-avast-home.html

With either of those, during the install phase you must select
'custom' install, and then deselect the email scanning module so it
won't install.
