Error opening specific <filename>.pdf attachment

Our Canon Copier is set to receive faxes and deliver them
via ms exchange to specified email address. Until
recently this was working fine....now I cannot open or
save any attachment named "INCOMING FAX.pdf" in Outlook.
I can open other .pdf attachments and any other Word/
Excel attachments in Outlook.

Here is how i believe it started:
Opened attachment, then clicked on reply and sent message
while attachment was still open. Came up with the
following !Warning.

"An attachment to this message may be currently open in
another program. If you continue, you may lose any
changes you have made to the attachment using the other
program. Do you want to continue?"

Normally say Yes...although on last occasion I said NO
and ever since then..whenever I try to open INCOMING FAX
it comes up with the following !Warning:

"Can't create file: INCOMING FAX.pdf. Right-click the
folder you want to create the file in, and then click
Properties on the shortcut menu to check your permissions
for the folder.

I can open these attachments if i open my outlook file on
another machine.

I have reinstalled Acrobat. Ran a Detect and Repair on
Outlook. Stopped our Virus Program. Rolled back Computer
to previous settings (prior to problem starting). Have
all patches up to date.

short of resintalling Outlook....or throwing this
computer at the wall..Does anybody have any suggestions?

Try this. Open a command prompt window and enter:

cd %USERPROFILE%\Local Settings\Temporary Internet Files
dir

Look for a folder that starts with OLK. Let's say it's OLK41A. Enter

del /s OLK41A

and answer "Y" to the "Are your sure?" question. Try to open the attachment
again.
