Thanks again for your help.

The only change that I made to my computer between the last fix and
this one is the plugging in of a HP USB keyboard. Is it possible that
this could be the cause? I only bought the keyboard at the computer
market on Saturday.

I will try the fix that you suggest and repost the hyjack log.

And boot to Safe Mode and run your adware scans there.

G'day,

Just to let you guys know ive just completed this excercise and found
the culprit to be the spectrum24 event monitor, i disabled it in
msconfig but without it i cannot use my wireless! I have the same
problem with 2 other laptops as well, the only commonality between the
three ( 2 dells & a hp) is that they intel based, use novell client to
logon and have mcafee antivirus. I have spoken to dell and hp and intel
to see if they can source the problem, but they have not been any help.
Ill keep going until i can find what it is conflicting with but it's
going to be a lot of reboots before i do!

Regards

Cameron

Nope this hasn't worked for me, i tried rolling back the drivers to the
original and it still happens.... one thing i found quite peculiar was
when i installed it from home without being connected to the network
the pop went away, once i came back in the office and logged on to the
novell network it came back.... it must conflict when some network
services are started at the same time.... i guess i will have to wait
till intel release a newer version to fix the old one...
