am getting a loud kick sound from my hardisk (laptop)

whenever the it happens.

hve use chkdsk to fixed some bad blocks. still getting the
kicking sound.

does that mean my HD is dying ?

appreciate any tips other than replacing the HD.

Bad spot on the disk or the disk is failing.

If you have a backup device, backup, reformat during an install, and restore..

If it happens again, replace the disk.

I was getting the same problem, which turned out to be a disk that failed a week
later.
