Error on Internet Explorer

Everytime I click "close" a website, I get this
message "Microsoft internet explorer has encountered a
problem and needs to close" When I click on more details,
it has ieplore.exe and modname: shdocvw.dll It goes back
to my homepage. Can anyone help??
