Hi there,

I nned your help. I am working in a computer with Windows
XP. I am trying to do a backup and I can't. I went to the
wizard and answered all the informations. So on the last
step I selected D:\ as the drive for backup, I put the CD-
R fujifilm and I wrote Backup071204 (name and date,
anyone, so the program shows a warning window saying: The
backup file name could not be used, "D:\Backup071204.bkf",
Please ensure it is a valid path, and that you have
sufficient access. What can I do to do a backup using the
right program? Thanking you. Andreia/Susan

The XP backup utility does not recognise CR-R/RW as backup media. Create the
backup on your HDD and burn to CD afterwards.

Backup programs included with NT-based versions of Windows only support tape and file for backup media (file means you are writing onto a hard drive, floppy, or other non-CDFS media). You will need to get a backup program that support CDFS. The version included in Windows came from Veritas which was a crippled version of Backup Exec Desktop. Veritas sold it off and now it is called Backup MyPC (http://209.216.197.34/bump.html).
