Hello,

box began reappearing and the below started coming up.

Hello,
I also had a problem that started last Friday (28th March) and it was all
working fine but now I get the following:-
Your server has unexpectedly terminated the connection. Possible causes for
this include server problems, network problems, or a long period of
inactivity. Subject 'Fw: cards', Account: 'mail.btinternet.com', Server:
'mail.btinternet.com', Protocol: SMTP, Server Response: '451 See

Error: 451, Error Number: 0x800CCC0F
I had BT look at it and they logged in via their BT GTA remote log in but
they say it's not a BT problem, it's Windows. Anyone have any ideas/solutions@

If you are sure you are you are entering the correct username and
password, one possible cause for that error is account corruption.
One thing you should try as a quick fix is to delete that corrupted
mail account, restart Windows Mail, then recreate that account.

If that doesn't fix it, more drastic measures will have to be taken.
Which antivirus are you running?
As a minimum, email scanning in the antivirus must be turned off,
although that may not be sufficient to eliminate all bad effects.
In a worst case scenario, your antivirus may need to be uninstalled.

If turning off the email scanning function does not resolve your problem,
consider upgrading to Windows Live Mail, because it is less prone to
suffering bad effects from overly aggressive antivirus programs.

Email scanning in any antivirus must be disabled, for reasons
explained here:

I doubt you are using the same mail server as Matt, so your error message
will be different. Right-click on your error message, copy, then paste it
into a reply here.
We can't do much troubleshooting without the complete error message.

Hi Gary,
Yes I'm sure the account and password are correct (the account was working
36 hours ago)
Tried the quick fix as suggested twice with no success.

Am running Trend Micro but as I saw in other entries in the community I
removed it completely and tried again with no success.

While wmail worked for me on this PC for a time, I have also tried to set up
other accounts on same computer wiht the same specs just different user
numbers and passwords under different user profiles with no success at all.

Prompt box for account & password & the below error message keep appearing.

Account: 'pop.thesportsmachine.com.au', Server:
'pop.thesportsmachine.com.au', Protocol: POP3, Server Response: '-ERR
authorization failed', Port: 110, Secure(SSL): No, Server Error: 0x800CCC90,
Error Number: 0x800CCC92

I have checked with WEB central who hold my account but they tested and gave
the all clear to the five accounts they hold, and have removed (albeit
reluctantly) all security software.

Do you have any other suggestions?

You've taken all the corrective actions I would have suggested.
I don't have any other suggestions except to try Windows Live Mail.
