What constitutes a valid bookmark? How do I know what to change in my indexing field? Everything looks right to me. Everything looks just like the other valid index entries yet I am still getting the error message in the index and my index field is up to date as well.
A "valid" bookmark name, in this context, is just the name of a bookmark
that actually exists in the document.
What is the exact error message that you are seeing? Does your INDEX field
include the \b switch? Press Alt+F9 to show/hide field codes in Word.
