Error msg when importing video files

Receive the following msg when import mpeg2 file.

C:\Documents and Settings\My Documents\COMEDY (Nov 27) 001.mpg could not be
imported. An interface has too many methods to fire events from

Any ideas?

Movie Maker does not like MPEG files very well especially MPEG2 files.
Convert the file to AVI and import that into Movie Maker.
