Error msg says "not sent" but it is sent.

Lately when I send emails (usually with attachments) the email gets hung up,
I get "can't send" error msge and it sits in my outbox. In actuality, the
email was sent but it is not in my sent items folder. And it gets sent
repeatedly because Outlook thinks it's still in my outbox. Verizon says it's
not an ISP issue, that it is an Outlook problem. Any ideas? I have XP and
Outlook 2002. This is an intermittent problem - happens every couple of days.

I just started having the exact same problem with Outlook Express 6.0 and I'm
running Windows 2000. It's not intermittent for me. Now it's all the time. I
have no idea what to do about it. Hope someone out there has some ideas.
