Error msg: Duplicate Name Exists on the network

I have a peer-to-peer network at home with two older Win98
computers and XP Pro on the newest one. I receive this
message upon booting, and the only references I found
(which I understood!) relate to NT machines on NT domains.

I have NetBEUI installed on all computers (without it,
they were blind to each other), along with Microsoft
Client and TCP/IP. I also notice that both the I394 AND
the Network Bridge seem to have all these protocols bound
to them on the XP machine (both have checks next to them.)

Any advice? It's been a long while since I've
administered any NT networks, so please be specific.

Everything appears to work after I click off the error,
but I'd appreciate knowing how to avoid it and still have
all three computers see each other.

Thanks, but no, I had already doublechecked that. Each
computer has a separate discrete name.

Nope, only one. I saw that knowledge base article. Only
one NIC on the XP machine and each machine has it's own
name.
