error messgae when trying to open a folder

i recently re-installed my c: drive, and i moved all my
pics and videos to my d: drive. Well after installing, i
went to open the folder, and i get an error message
stating"d:my pictures not accessible: access denied"
What gives and what can i do to save what's in the
folders.

NOTE: You must be logged on to the computer using an account that has
administrative privileges. If you are running Windows XP Home Edition, in order
to have access to the Security tab, you must first start in Safe Mode and log on
