Error messages

I get two very annoying errorr messages and I can't figure out how to fix them

The first pops up continuously and really bogs down my IE. It reads: "Windows Explorer has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience. If you were in the middle of something, the information you were working on might be lost

The second error message pops up every time I close IE. It reads: The instruction at "0x77f57bd2" referenced memory at "ox037a0010". The memory could not "read". Click on OK to terminate the program

Any help to eliminate these errors would be very much appreciated
