error messages

I just bought this computer a week ago it's a p4 2.5ghz with 256 ram and I had a 256 mb radeon vidio card installed 2 days ago. I've got problems first off when I turn the computer on the monitor doesn't always come on I have to manually push the on off button to make it come on and when it does come on it shakes slightly??? Next I bought the game far cry and for come reason it won't load there's error messages coming up saying there's a problem with the pakageing ot something like that???? Also when I play games they are now choppy. I just don't know what to do I paid almost $2500.00 for this piece of junk and I would hope it's something simple. I'm not to good at computers so any help could you please simplify it please!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Can you please post the exact error messages you are seeing? If the monitor
isn't working properly it's still under warranty - try contacting your PC
supplier.

Was the Monitor working properly BEFORE installing the new ATI 256 card?
Judging by your other post (Computer Problems), I would say take it back,
take it back, take it back...BUT, if YOU installed the ATI card, then I
wonder what fault lies with the retailer, if the issues started AFTER
installing an "Off the Shelf" card, which was not installed when you
purchased the system. Sounds like you paid top dollar for this machine, and
I would doubt if they would take it back, now that you have "Popped the
Seal" on the Case. But, good luck just the same.
