Error message

Hi,

A user of mine is saving a PP presentation to CD from our
network. When trying to open from the CD the
message 'powerpoint cannot open the type of file
represented by 'new exclusivity brochure'' appears.

I've never seen this before, has anyone any experience of
it?

Your user has set him/herself up for corrupt files by saving directly to
CD. See http://www.rdpslides.com/pptfaq/FAQ00108.htm for some possible
recovery steps.

Then teach your user to save to the harddrive and use the CD burning
software to burn to CD. And disable the "direct CD" option on the
machine.
