Error Message

I very often find that I can't open Windows Mail and have to reboot the PC.
On starting to restart a box comes up saying "The instruction at 0x04ab269d
referenced memory at 0x0000006. The memory could not be written."
Can someone help me with this please?

Try upgrading to Windows Live Mail:

I can't guarantee that it will solve your problem, but the likelihood
is very high.

Windows Live Mail benefitted from a much longer development
period than Windows Mail, and consequently has way fewer bugs.

I have just downloaded the Windows Live Mail programme and had a look at it.
It is just a new glorified version of Hotmail. I am definitely NOT
interested in changing to that, I need to keep my normal email address.
PLEASE can someone come up with the cure for my error message so I can get
Windows Mail to work properly?

Windows Live Mail can take over any accounts Windows Mail can handle,
in addition to adding the capability to connect to Hotmail, which you don't
have to use.

If you still don't want to use it, some antivirus programs are known for
causing assorted problems in Windows Mail, although seldom immediately.
What if any antivirus programs do you have?

Excuse me? You must be looking at Windows Live Hotmail instead
of Windows Live Mail. WLM does everything that WM does, plus
it has the option to handle Hotmail accounts.
You can certainly use your normal email address in WLM.
