When trying to boot up my computrer the following shows up. error message-The
following file is missing or corrupt.<windows root>//system 32//hal.dll. I
can not open windows.Virus?

You don't say which version of the Windows Operating System that you are
using. Try this Microsoft KB article:

FYI - "Access Database" refers to the software known as Microsoft Access.
This newsgroup is not the appropriate newsgroup for posting problems related
to using the Windows operating system. A better alternative, if you are using
WindowsXP is this one:
