an error message appears about every thirty seconds on my screen that
reads-The procedure entry point FT_ Exit12 could not be located in the
dynamic link library KERNEL32.dll.

There are about 30 hits on the subject in this Google Groups search. I
didn't try to narrow down to one suggested fix since they seem to
software dependent. You might see if any of the softwares are running
on your machine:
