error message

since installing windows genuine advantage i get the error message "IOCTRL
failed, PV92Tray will be closed". I simply close the box as it doesn't seem
to be doing any harm.

What does this mean? Can get rid of this? All help appreciated. Please bear
in mind that I am not a computer buff, so plain english would be appreciated.

I cross-checked PV92Tray and it appears to be a Modem watchdog.
(A support program that loads at Windows startup to provide quick
access to the modem.)

How WGA would factor into that is unknown, but with Windows there
is always "Interactions" - seemingly unrelated items that break something
else.

Do you use a modem to connect to the web ? It may be just a matter of
cleaning up your Startup items to remove those that aren't needed.
