error message

Hello, I'm having an annoying little problem and I was
wondering if anyone can help me out. When I start XP I
get an error message stating that 'Windows explorer has
encountered an error and needs to close' In additioin, on
my desktop taskbar the quick launch and web search bars
keep coming back every time I restart the machine. A
while back I had one of those adult search things attach
itself to my internet favorites but I deleted it. Also I
have checked the registry and none of the files microsoft
listed in their help section are there. I have Ghost Surf
and have cleaned up all the spyware but this problem is
still happening. Any ideas? Thanks.
