What does this message mean?

"The instruction 0x68899a56 referenced memory at 0x018e9424. The memory
could not be read."

An application [or to be specific a subroutine or small part of an
executable] issued an instruction to read /or wrtie to a specific address in
memory.

The data was not present in the form expected or was not there or the memory
chip was faulty.

You didn't suggest what happenmed as a consequence. Was it terminal, in so
far as the application shut down or did windows shut down?

Thanks for the reply.

No, windows did not shut down. If my memory serves me correctly, I was
given the option to click on OKAY and the message was gone off the screen.
The system returned to normal.
