I go the following error message. Is this a FrontPage
problem or a server problem?

"An error occured accessing your FrontPage web files.
Authors - if authoring against a web server, contact the
webmaster for this server's site. Webmasters, please see
the servers system log for more details."

Thanks,

Rick: When do you get the error? What are you doing at the time?

If trying to publish to the host server, or working on your web on the host
server, have you contacted your host to give you the info in the server
system log?

Hi Rich,

Chances are it is a problem with the way something is configured on the
server (although an incorrect setting used in FrontPage could trigger it)
The only way to know is to look at the server error logs..If you are hosting
the site yourself you will have access to these..if you are using a host,
then they will need to look at the logs, to see what the problem is. The
term "Webmaster" in this case refers to the host.

It is a server problem if you receive it when trying to open or publish your site to a remote
server.

Contact your host and ask them to check their log file for the time it happen.

This works sometimes.
Create a new 1 page web similar to;
Test\index.html

Test is the one and only folder with the 1 file.
Test by publishing to your online web site.
Select publish and over write and not the only changed pages

If it publishes it is a problem with your PC having orphaned *.web files
which you need to delete.
There is a standard answer here for fixing FP if you search for it.
