Error message with installing some programs.

16 bit Windows Subsystem

C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\AUTOEXEC.NT. The system file is not suitable for running
MS-DOS and Microsoft Windows applications. Choose 'Close" to terminate the
application.

Close Ignore

My question is... How can I deal with this message. Both ignore and close
just end up closing the program and I would like to install it. Is there any
way that I can fix this problem?

This problem happens with two programs that I wish to install. They are
completly un-related and I have never seen this error before now.
