Error Message With Forms

G

Guest

Help! I'm new to this and I need some help. I created a website and used the
templates with forms. I want to have the results emailed to my address. When
I uploaded it to my server (Yahoo)...and I click on the submit button, I get
a "Frontpage Error".

User: please report details to this site's webmaster
Webmaster: please see the server's system log for more details.

Can anyone please help me?

Ryan

Did you upload the site to the live/remote sever via FP's http mode or via FTP? The form must be
published to a server that has the FP extensions via http.

....plus, the host must configure the forms to email transport in the FP
server extensions for the account.

I did upload it to a remote server (yahoo) via Frontpage or SharePoint
Services and I did activate FP extensions.

Still doesn't work

And how do I configure it for email transport?

Can you provide the URL to the form page?

Yahoo must enable the email function on the server.

Open the live/remote site directly in FP, then make a change to the form and save, then test. If you
still see the error message, you will need to contact Yahoo regarding the email function.

Until you take action to have the forms to email transport enabled for your
web, looking at the URLs isn't going to help ;-)

plus the frontpage form handler only sends email to an email account on the
same domain as the hosted site. eg you can't use it if your site is hosted
by Geocities and you have a hotmail email address that you want the form
data sent to.
