Error Message when trying to open file from floppy

The following message shows up when trying to open an .xls file from floppy:
The document '.....xls' caused a serious error the last time it was opened. Would you like to continue opening it?
When clicked Yes, it retries to open it but nothing happens.
 
Hi
NEVER try to oen Excel files directly from floppy! It will cause
enormous trouble. So ALWAYS first copy the file to your HD!
