error message when trying to import an excel spreadsheet into Acc.

I do not want to link the spreadsheet, but actually import it. I'm getting
"an error occured while trying to import..."
 
are you trying to import xl formulas. access don't like xl
formulas. hard data only. xl formulas are ok as a link but
not as an import.
did the import wizard create a import error table. if so
open and look at it for possible causes.
