Error message when sending e-mails

The article is for Outlook Express but the settings are the same.


Port 25 is not used, it's 587.

I'm not familiar with AOL mail, but according to this article,
you are using the wrong port:
http://members.aol.com/adamkb/aol/mailfaq/imap/

The port for the outgoing mail server (smtp.aol.com) is 587, not 25.

I am having problems sending mail. I get an error message. it keeps timing

it happened the other day and now i can not send mail
