error message when opening doc in word

Word attachments will not open, or saved documents. Message says the
documents contain a virus. My virus software is up to date.

When I close word, it asks if I want to save changes in normal, and takes
three clicks to go away.

I have scanned the documents, and they are virus free. Also, they open fine
in Word when I forward them to my laptop. I have deselected prompt for
changes in Word.
