error message when I open WORD or EXCEL

When I open WORD or EXCEL I get the following message:
"The instruction at "0x77f516c5" referenced memory
at "0x02000010". The memory could not be "read". Click on
OK to terminate the program"

WHen I click OK it comes again 2 more times until the WORD
or EXCEL program are finally opened.

How can I fix this problem?
 
Boot up and note the time when you get this error. Then Have a look in the
Application Event log (using Event Viewer). Are there any entries around
that time? What do they say? Try reposting that info or do a web search on
some of the words.
