Hey, it's me again.. still battling the spyware.
In a search, I found this article:
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-
us;178000
that details my problem. However, it's an old article and
it's solution isn't quite helping me. I checked the
status of what language IE is set on, and it's not User
Defined. Still, that error just keeps coming up...
the error, by the way, says:
"Cannot find <websitename>. Make sure path or internet
address is correct."
I've noticed that when I type http: before the address,
it works without error. Before this started happening
(two or three days ago) it would automatically
insert 'http://' before the address. It no longer does
this...
I don't have the CoolWWW spyware, and I've taken some
percaution in helping the security of my computer, but I
still have some updates I need to download. Will those
solve the problem? Is there something I can do to get IE
to insert 'http://' before the address like it used to?
I'm using Windows XP, IE, and MSN by the way..
